The Lantern Fest: Austin

Saturday, October 22nd
Cotton Bowl Speedway

Git lit when the nationwide light festival sets up camp just east of Austin. The party includes live music, dancing, s’mores, and a lantern-lighting experience. The spectacle features thousands of lanterns floating up into the sky for breath-taking sight. Cozy up by the fire and make some new connections. Tickets start at $45 and include a lantern kit.





Saturday, October 22nd
Scholz Garten

The Austin Saengerrunde will host the fourth annual Oktoberfest. Enjoy special Oktoberfest beer from Karbach and scarf down sausage from 12 local vendors. Enter a contest for Stein-holding, German costumes or even yodeling. Listen to live music or go bowling. Tickets are $50 and include beer tasting and all-you-can-eat sausage. Proceeds benefit Texas Foodways.

Cabin In The Woods

Friday, October 21st
French Legation

Face your fears at the outdoor screening of this local favorite. The Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Road Show hosts a movie night for Cabin in The Woods. The horror film follows five friends who go for a break at a remote cabin. They get more than they bargained for and discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods. Bring your own snacks and pets too. Tickets are $10.

Experience the turbo-charged party and most prestigious motor race in the world. The United States Grand Prix celebrates its fifth anniversary with three days of high-octane sensory overload. The event also includes live performances from Taylor Swift and Usher. Head downtown for Fan Fest which is a free event for all. Enjoy live music, driver meet-and-greets, contests, food and more.  Tickets start at $75.
