Austin Ghost Tours

Experience authentic ghostly activity in a real life environment. Austin Ghost Tours presents The Alleyways and Shadows Ghost Walk on Friday and Saturday.  If you enjoy haunted history try out this 1-mile tour of the Capital area. Tickets are $20.

Helloween: Dance of the Dead

Get pumped for a Halloween party on steroids at Elysium. Austin Horror SocietyAustin Witches CircleBlood Over TexasGore Noir and Other Worlds Austin present a night intense of entertainment on Friday, the 28th. Dance with the dead with DJ Dren Pasht and DJ Czech One. Experience terror-rific performances from burlesque dancers, drag queens, sideshow acts and more. Get a tarot reading, snap a selfie in the photo booth or enter the costume contest. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Punch Bowl Social Cartoon Bash

If you’re not down with the demons, keep it light-hearted on Saturday, the 29th. Punch Bowl Social hosts a free cartoon-themed event in celebration of animated characters. Come thirsty for Pumpkin Spice Libations, Purple People Eater Shots, Green Monsters and other drink specials all weekend. Enter the costume contest, play games and take advantage of no cover.


The Highball never disappoints with the annual Halloween blowout. The tradition continues on Saturday, the 29th with ghoulish music videos, live pranks, dancing, a costume contest, photo booth and bloody pinatas. Enjoy special BOOze specials and more candy than you can eat. Tickets are $22.

Viva La Vida 2016

The Mexic-Arte Museum presents Austin’s largest Day of the Dead celebration on Saturday, the 29th. The free festival includes a grand parade, artist vendors, live music, a museum exhibition and costume contest. Donations for the family-friendly event benefit education programs in the community.

Yes it’s true. The one and only Questlove will be in Austin on Saturday, the 29th. Knuckle Rumbler presents the show at the Empire Control Room & Garage. The DJ and frontman for The Roots will perform along with JuiceLandsound founder and DJ Jester the Filipino Fist. Tickets start at $13.

Nightmare on 7th Street

OUTER LIMIT presents a frightening night of whimsical dreams on Sunday, the 30th. Enjoy the eerie sounds of indie rock, neo soul and synth pop from six bands. The spooky lineup includes CactopusTØMAFood Group,  Skip Hobbie, Duo Contra and Tocaio. Come for the free music, stay for a tarot card reading and browse through local vendor booths.

Werewolf Bar Mitzvah 

Boys become men and men become wolves at Spider House’s Halloween party on Monday, the 31st. Start howling for the killer lineup of experimental electro, indie, disco, synth pop and funk bands. The dance party features performances from SIP SIPSlomo DragsWhiite WallsStiletto FeelsFlavor Raid and Dance Sinatra. Tickets are $5 at the door.
