Through SONAR’s ACT functionality, it will remember all the mapping you have created. YOu can even have one knob assigned to different functions on different effects or instrumente, and SONAR will remember which one to use depending on which view is open.

Yes you can create track templates that include virtual instruments, and yes you can create your own

does sonar have soft synth template also? Can you make your own?
