Actually a “Theme Song” has words, and a “theme” is simply a PART of a song. It is NOT the whole song. If you are seriously going to call what is played during the stages in Super Mario Brothers “songs” go right ahead but they are not songs. The term “song” is technically only used to describe a piece that involves vocal parts, and incidental music, even if it is in video games may be a musical composition but it is in no way a “song”.

They are not “songs”, they are “themes”. There is a difference. All though they are very good, and the performance is excellent.
