Fantastic Fest is the largest genre film festival in the U.S. and it gives movie buffs the chance to experience the best in horror, sci-fi and action. The second season of the hit show Ash Vs. Evil Dead roars back into action with a Fantastic Fest premiere. Ash leaves his beloved Jacksonville and returns to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.
Take the driver’s seat in a fast-paced hell-ride that catapults you through the final shocking moments of a man’s life. Dark Corner, the world’s first virtual reality genre studio, will premiere the virtual reality experience. Mule will be available throughout the festival and it’s the follow-up to last year’s 360-hospital-shocker, Catatonic.
Don’t miss one of the two screenings of the world premiere of Phantasm: Ravager. The film is the long-awaited fifth entry in Don Coscarelli’s bizarre and horror series. Follow Reggie on his quest across dark dimensions as he struggles to confront and vanquish the sinister Tall Man.
Nicolas Cage and Willem Defoe star in an unhinged pulp comedy. The story follows three hardened criminals as they scheme the final crime for the perfect jackpot. Director, Paul Schrader, will make a special appearance to discuss his wild exploration of the criminal underground.
Iko Uwais, star of the The Raid series, continues to impress with this over-the-top love letter to violent martial art movies. Iko plays Ishmael, a young man with amnesia who is washed ashore. It’s not long before bad men show up to stop him before he regains his memory.
