dave, first off I really enjoy your videos. Second I was wondering if there is a way to permanently add the mpc quantize to logic so you don’t have to add the folders everytime?

Great tutorial! Thanks so much for all the work you put into these videos, much appreciated!
And did I see “God Given” on your desktop in this video? Were you working on a remix at the time? Sorry to be snooping, but it just caught my eye!

Thanks for the support… I may have a paid version in the future just so my employer understands why I’m typing furiously all afternoon! Do you know about apple loops, and did you see my Recycle and Logic video, (#1?)

Hey SFDaveLogicEarlNinja (jk)! These tips r the BEST EVER (mainly bcuz they’re free!) But if u ever decided to put some alfredo on it (get paid), u got my support. I’m having so much trouble with 3rd party plug-ins and my Intel MAC, but have navigated around it somewhat. I’m @ the Bermuda Triangle w/ not being able to use ReCycle. Could u point me in the right direction Capt.?

Those tutorial DVDs are still a good investment They usually have a much higher production value and are better structured than these tips. Thanks all the same, though!

So when u gonna let us hear your hip-hop…..
October 9th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
great tutorial!!! you are awesome!
October 10th, 2008 at 8:45 am
Yep. Save as template for use when you need ‘em. If you hide the folders in the template, then the regions will be there, and the groove templates as well.
Since i use the MPC grooves pretty rarely, i have a Hip_hop template.
October 12th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
So would you have to go through this whole process every time? I guess if you produce mostly hip hop the move would be to save it as your autoload song along with other settings you use right?
October 15th, 2008 at 5:16 am
It’s under ‘About This Video’ On the right.
October 15th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
Look at ‘about this video’ on the right hand side of this page
